The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural and 90210 have all been renewed for the 2012-13 season by the CW network, meaning that fans of the popular shows will once more be able to get a glimpse of their favourite stars (such as Vampire Diaries' Ian Somerhalder or 90210's AnnaLynne McCord) once more.
E! Online reported yesterday (May 3, 2012) that all three shows had been renewed and certainly, for The Vampire Diaries, it comes as no surprise, as it has been CW's highest-rated show for some time now. The next season is expected to focus on Elena (played by Nina Dobrev) and her pals as they get through the final semester of their senior high school year. The executive producer of the show, Julie Plec confirmed that they will be making decisions about their future; "They're making decisions about their future. Do I stay or do I go? And no, there will not be a Mystic U. Grams taught at a nearby university and Jenna was getting her masters degree so there's something out there that we'll be introducing and seeing in season four."
90210 also returns for a fifth season and Supernatural will be back on screens for the eighth time. The full cast line-up for Supernatural is yet to be announced, though it is already known that Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki will return to the show.
