Betty White has proved that age is no barrier when it comes to using one of the world's favorite social networking sites. The Mary Tyler Moore Show actress, who celebrated her 90th birthday recently, has opened up her own Twitter profile, quickly gaining over 177,000 followers and even took the opportunity to play a prank on one of her 'Betty White's Off Their Rockers' co-stars.
Betty posted a message on her Twitter profile to promote the new show and her colleague, Valerie Bertinelli quickly became the victim of a prank. Bertinelli posted a message, after the BettyMWhite handle had been created, that said "Just spoke with Betty and she is Very upset! BettyMWhite is Not her. Don't know how they got verified, but it is not Betty. Please RT!" It would seem that the joke was on Bertinelli, though, as Betty later admitted that the account was hers (or, at the very least, being dealt with by her people). Valerie then sent another light-hearted message that read "It's all a misunderstanding.BettyMWhite IS Betty's twitter account! Now follow me back, b-!"
