Never-before-seen photos of Bette Davis have been released to mark what would have been the Hollywood icon's 104th birthday.
The selection of unpublished snaps shows the actress lounging around her Beverly Hills home, relaxing as she sunbathes, painting her fingernails and chatting on the phone while smoking one of her trademark cigarettes.
The black and white images, taken by legendary photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt, were shot in 1939 after she scooped her second Oscar for Jezebel.
They were released by Life magazine editors to celebrate Davis' birthday on 5 April (12).
Davis was 81 years old when she passed away in France after losing her battle with breast cancer in 1989.
