Oscar nominee Benedict Cumberbatch and his Sherlock Holmes co-star Louise Brealey have signed up to appear on the London stage and read out historic correspondence from notable figures in a new series of Letters Live. The actors will read out old letters alongside an array of performers at Freemasons' Hall from 31 March (15) for five consecutive nights. In a statement, Cumberbatch says, "Letters Live makes us pause and imagine the lives behind the letters read and the circumstances of their origin. It's a privilege to read this most ancient of communications live to an audience."
