The life of late Beatles legend John Lennon is to be celebrated with a two-month long music festival later this year (10) in his hometown of Liverpool, England.
The event is set to begin on 9 October (10), on what would have been the singer's 70th birthday, and will end on 9 December (10) - the day after the 30th anniversary of his assassination.
The John Lennon Tribute Season will commemorate Lennon's life through art, music, film and poetry and will run across the city.
Lennon was shot dead outside his New York apartment in 1980.
