The Sabotage star, real name Mike Diamond, has teamed up with Los Angeles-based accessories guru Clare Vivier to create Mike D. x Clare V., a collection for her brand

Mike insists his global travels with the rap act has helped make him "innately aesthetically oriented," and he turned to Clare after realising he was in desperate need of a functional, yet stylish bag to carry his stuff to the recording studio.

"Basically creating this collection was a very selfish exercise, if you want to get down to it," Mike explains to Billboard. "I've had backpacks my whole life. I was showing up at the studio all the time with no bag, being like, 'I don't want to have a backpack. I've had backpacks my whole life and I'm a grown man now. I should have something better'."

The pair's new line includes items ranging from minimalist styles made of earth-tone leathers to classic bags in royal blues and blacks.

The partnership also marks the first men's capsule collection for Clare, and the rapper's foray into fashion design has left him eager to do more.

"I think another collection would be a great excuse to get more crazy with the colours," he says. "Maybe a little shock of neon in there? Like volt green for you people? I’m joking, but I definitely think expanding out from what we've done would make sense. I'm in need of a man apron. A very manly apron."
