THE Beastie Boys have put their troubled record label GRAND ROYAL up for auction on the internet.

Mike D, MCA and KING AD-ROCK's 11-year-old label is up for a minimum bid of $10,000 (GBP5,550) on BID4ASSETS.COM.

The company released Beastie albums CHECK YOUR HEAD and ILL COMMUNICATION, as well as developing artists including At The Drive-In, Atari Teenage Riot and LUSCIOUS JACKSON.

Grand Royal was declared bankrupt over two years ago (SEP01) after blaming, "mounting debts, decreasing assets and exceedingly harsh industry conditions."
