Critically acclaimed British singer-songwriter Beans On Toast is pleased to announce the release of his new album titled Fishing For A Thank You. Released today, Tuesday, June 11 through Xtra Mile Recordings in North America, Fishing For A Thank You is Beans' career defining record that, in his own amiable style, deals with such matters as protest, love, drugs, religion, Wetherspoons pubs and angry birds with his perfected witty social commentary. Bolstered by an accordion and a backing brass section, this is Beans' most complete and mature-sounding record to date.
Beans On Toast isn't just your average folk singer-songwriter - he is a modern one-man band and a true DIY artist with true ideals. His debut full-length, Standing On A Chair, was produced by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons and was given a four-out-of-five star rating from The Sunday Times, kick-starting his career and leading him to perform as part of a number of festivals throughout the UK and Europe since the album's release such as Glastonbury, Blissfields, Secret Garden Party, Kendall Calling, Bestival and more. Beans On Toast has also worked in the studio with folk-punk icon Frank Turner, who produced his last album, Trying To Tell The Truth, and has had guest appearances across his albums from the likes of Dan Smith (Bastille), Justin Young (The Vaccines), and Emmy The Great. Because Beans On Toast doesn't do things in the conventional way, his opportunities are limitless. Brutally honest, blunt as a hammer yet sharp as a razorblade, he's been winning over audiences as a solo artist since he arrived in London from his Essex home and will continue to do so on American shores with the release of Fishing For A Thank You.
Beans doesn't take his music too seriously and his car crash live shows break down all barriers between artist and crowd in a completely original and enjoyable way. He is currently on tour supporting Frank Turner and will be making his Bonnaroo debut this weekend.
