British rockers Beady Eye have axed another festival gig as their guitarist Gem Archer recovers from a serious head injury.

Liam Gallagher's band called off a number of dates, including a high-profile appearance at Britain's V Festival this month (Aug13), after the musician was hospitalised to treat a fractured skull which he reportedly sustained in a fall at his home.

The cancelled shows included appearances in Belgium and Japan, and now they have also scrapped their final festival date of the year (13) in France.

Beady Eye were due to play at the Cabaret Vert Festival in north-east France on 23 August (13), but organisers have now confirmed the show is off as Archer will not be well enough to perform.

A post on the Cabaret Vert page on Monday (12Aug13) reads, "Cancellation of Beady Eye concert following guitarist Gem Archer's health problem. New scheduling will follow."
