Judge Frederick Rotenberg dismissed prosecutors' fears that the Brit might be a flight risk and released Murphy on his own recognisance, but the Bauhaus star has been banned from driving without the court’s permission.
Judge Rotenberg's declaration allows Murphy to continue with his immediate tour plans - he is scheduled to kick off his North American tour in San Antonio, Texas next month (Apr13).
