The Audience had a big one. The London play, starring Helen Mirren as Queen Elizabeth and broadcast live by National Theatre Live on June 13 to movie theaters in the U.K. and the U.S., reportedly sold some 110,000 tickets -- 80,000 in the U.K. and 30,000 in the U.S. David Sabel, the telecast's executive producer, told the London Independent: We were expecting a big audience for it because there's been great buzz but it's turned out even greater than expected. NT Live said that the telecast had been recorded and additional screenings have been planned. In addition, Sabel disclosed that NT Live also plans to broadcast a live production of War Horse from London in 2014. The play, which uses puppets on stage to represent horses used during World War I Battles, has already been produced as a movie by Steven Spielberg using real horses. We think both that there's a huge audience for it still and there's going to be a lot of people who haven't had a chance to see it or might want to see it again in a different guise, Sabel told the newspaper.
