Basia Bulat returns in 2014 with her first full UK tour to celebrate the release of her current album Tall Tall Shadow. The tour includes five UK headline shows, including one at The Lextington, London on 11th February, which will follow on from last years two sold-out shows in the capital at London's Servants Jazz Quarter and The Islington respectively. Following her UK tour, Basia is also set to showcase songs from Tall Tall Shadow at the forthcoming SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas.
To mark the tour, Basia is releasing the upbeat single Promise Not To Think About Love on 17th February. The song weaves Basia's new found love of the charango around admirably honest, heartfelt lyrics and her sensual vocals.
Tall Tall Shadow (which was co-produced by Grammy Award-winning engineer Mark Lawson and Tim Kingsbury of Arcade Fire) has garnered much priase. The New York Times described the album as "a sound that nods to Fleetwood Mac and the early Joni Mitchell" while another more unexpected accolade came in the form of comedian and Breaking Bad actor Bob Odenkirk hailing the record his 'Album of 2013', tweeted alongside the words: "My God this girls sings like an angel".
