FAITHLESS star SISTER BLISS has lashed out at critics who fail to appreciate dance as a respectable genre of music.

The British DJ is proud to be queen of clubland - but she wishes the mainstream media would see the value of her work.

She says, "Bands like Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim, Underworld and us have all been around a really long time and I think that's to be celebrated.

"Dance music has been written off so consistently by the press for so many years, and constantly belittled.

"It's never really given its rightful place as one of the most inventive and far reaching forms of music that society has ever produced.

"That sounds very pompous but I really believe it."
