The catwalk beauty has been targeted by staff at the country's tax authority over allegations she has failed to pay the correct sums relating to her income and her apartment in Tel Aviv, and she has been questioned by officials as part of the probe.

Refaeli appeared at a magistrates court in Tel Aviv on Thursday (17Dec15) for a hearing into the matter, and the model was ordered to remain in Israel and hand over a $65,000 (£43,333) bail bond, according to editors of

The report states Refaeli denies allegations of wrongdoing, and must request permission from authorities if she wants to leave the country.

Refaeli's lawyer Giora Aderet tells Israel news site, "There is no drama. In the end, this is just a civil dispute. No one cheated anyone else. It will all clear up soon."

The model's mother, Tzipi Refaeli, has also reportedly been questioned by tax officials.

The news comes just months after the model, who previously dated actor Leonardo Dicaprio, tied the knot with her fiance Adi Ezra in Israel in September (15).
