Fans took notice of the 25-year-old's lighter complexion over the weekend during her performances in Brazil, and now bosses at cosmetics company Whitenicious are taking credit for her transformation.

Posting a photo of the 212 star on social media on Sunday (12Jun16), company bosses wrote: "The amazingly talented and beautiful @azealiabanks before her show in Brazil. Skin looks... A photo posted by Whitenicious."

And now company spokesperson Rebecca Matamba tells Azealia is a fan of the company's products, stating, "She loves Whitenicious and has tweeted about it multiple times. She is one of our many celebrity clients but she is just one of the celebrities who uses it and doesn't care who knows.

"She is just a beautiful woman experimenting and trying new things and she looks great. People should focus on her talent instead of her skin. After all she's in an industry where everyone is getting a little nip and tuck here and there; the difference is others lie about it but she is open about it."

Banks has yet to openly confirm she's whitening her skin, but she appears to have hinted about the complexion change via a mysterious new Twitter account she has reportedly set up under an alias to get around her suspension from the social media site. She also posted a screen shot of an exchange between fans opposed to her new skin colour.
