Williams, 33, is a cast member in the upcoming Broadway musical Shuffle Along, and last week (ends14Feb16), his cast members took to social media to ask followers for any leads on his whereabouts after going missing on 10 February (16).

Tony winner Audra McDonald took to Twitter.com on Saturday (13Feb16) and wrote, "This is our beloved cast member JL. Please read & share if you can. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers."

She added a photo of the missing person flyer filed with the New York Police Department, revealing he had not reported for rehearsals the morning of 10 February (16), and had had no contact with his husband, had no cell phone, nor had updated any of his social media accounts.

However, on Valentine's Day (14Feb16), Williams' cast members returned online to share the good news that he had been found and is safe at a New York hospital. The details of his status were not revealed.

MCDonald tweeted on Sunday, "So grateful our dear cast member JL has been found. This is a beautiful Valentines day indeed! Thank you for all of the RT's (retweets) & good thoughts".

Williams stars alongside MCDonald, Brian Stokes Mitchell, Billy Porter and others in the revival of Shuffle Along, about the challenges the cast and creative team had mounting the original 1921 Broadway production of Shuffle Along during the Great Depression.

Shuffle Along, which is directed by Tony winner George C. Wolfe with choreography by Savion Glover, opens on Broadway on 15 March (16).
