LATEST: Audioslave frontman Chris Cornell and his wife VICKY have unwittingly landed too close for comfort to their alleged stalker while on a trip to London. The couple have repeatedly received death threats which explicitly detail how the stalker plans to kill Vicky and their children CHRISTOPHER, one, and TONI, three. Cornell has spent close to $1 million (GBP555,000) securing his Los Angeles home and hiring security guards for his family. The rocker thought he was safe enough to travel to the London premiere of Casino Royale this week (begs13NOV06), in which Cornell sings the title song for the film, YOU KNOW MY NAME. Private investigators hired to look into who was sending the letters say the stalker is British and emailing threats to the couple from a London location close to their hotel. A source close to the pair tells New York Post's Page Six the security team was able to trace the threats to a specific location that now appears to be abandoned. The source says, "Thank God the kids are not with them." The couple's children are staying "with family" while the pair remain under 24-hour surveillance.
