Audioslave bassist TIM COMMERFORD's creativity has soared since he moved on from political rockers Rage Against The Machine, because he enjoys a more healthy working relationship in his new project.

Commerford admits the angst between band members in Rage Against The Machine created a tension which inspired their music, but he insists his work with Audioslave is far superior.

He says, "People say that negativity brings out greatness and I had that a lot in Rage and we wrote stuff that people thought was great.

"But this is head and shoulders above anything else I've done, so I know something can come from having respect for the people you're working with too."
