Athlete frontman JOEL POTTS paid an emotional tribute to Londoners who lost their lives in bombings last Thursday (07JUL05) by dedicating their hit single WIRES to them at last weekend's (8-10JUL05) T In The Park festival.
Potts told tens of thousands of fans at the charity concert in Kinross, Scotland, that he wrote the song about his baby daughter who almost died at birth, and felt it would be an appropriate way to remember the victims of the British capital's terrorist attacks.
Potts explains, "For a lot of people there's been a possibility you could have lost someone. I certainly felt that.
"Unfortunately some people lost their lives.
"This song is about hope and looking to the future."11/07/2005 01:52
