Reggae Star Brinsley Forde Has Joked About Recruiting Prince William As His New Bassist After The British Royal Revealed His Secret Musical Talent While Presenting The Former Aswad Frontman With A Top Honour.
The musician and former child actor was invited to Windsor Castle in England on Tuesday (19May15), when he was officially awarded a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) medal, and he was handed the honour by new dad the Duke Of Cambridge.
During the investiture ceremony, the Prince's first public engagement in the U.K. since the birth of Princess Charlotte on 2 May (15), William revealed he had developed a talent for the bass guitar.
Speaking to reporters after the event, Forde quipped, "I've just got a new bass player - you might know him as the Duke of Cambridge.
"He said, 'I'm a bit good on the bass guitar', so I'm thinking of signing him up, but he's got such a lot of other duties I don't know whether he'll have time to do it."
Forde, 61, also revealed the pair bonded over babies, adding, "I also congratulated him on the birth of Charlotte and said my son's waiting for the birth of his child so I'm about to be another grandfather."
