Ashton Kutcher has been crowned U.S. Tv's Highest-Paid Actor in a new poll after banking an impressive $24 million (£16 million) in the past year.

The star has edged out his Two and a Half Men co-star Jon Cryer to take the Forbes magazine title, with his castmate earning $21 million (£14 million) between June, 2012 to June, 2013.

Comedian Ray Romano places third with $16 million (£10.7 million), and How I Met Your Mother's Neil Patrick Harris and NCIS veteran Mark Harmon tie for fourth with $15 million (£10 million) each.

Meanwhile, two Two and a Half Men alums also feature on the list - child star Angus T. Jones, who quit the series earlier this year (13), ranks at seven with $11 million (£7.3 million), and Charlie Sheen, who was replaced by Kutcher in 2011, earns $10 million (£6.7 million) from his new sitcom, Anger Management.

Others on the countdown include Grey's Anatomy hunk Patrick Dempsey, Tim Allen and Michael C. Hall from Dexter.

Modern Family star Sofia Vergara topped the female version of the Forbes Tv money list last month (Sep13), for the second consecutive year, with an annual fortune of $30 million (£20 million).
