The 24-year-old sisters have three fashion lines - The Row, Elizabeth + James and Olsenboye - and say they would love to see the US First Lady in some of their designs from their most upmarket range.
Ashley said: "I'd love to get Michelle Obama in The Row. The simple suits and things. It's all made in America, so why not?"
Mary-Kate also revealed how she and Ashley were taught to dress tastefully and elegantly from an early age.
She told America's Harper's Bazaar magazine: "When we were growing up, our mother taught us never to have your belly button exposed."
The Olsen Twins aren't the only designers who have expressed a desire to work with Michelle.
singer-turned-fashion designer Victoria Beckham says she would love to create a dress for the First Lady because she's such a "strong woman".
Victoria - whose clothing lines have won widespread praise - said: "I would love to dress Mrs. Obama absolutely absolutely absolutely! I just think she's incredible and she's a very strong woman and she's beautiful. "I love women and I just want to make women feel good and beautiful and it's just been a huge compliment that ladies have enjoyed wearing my dresses and they look great! It just goes to show they can flatter women of all different shapes and sizes, all different heights, and that's what it's about. It's about creating an illusion and having a great cut."
