SLEIGH RIDE has topped a new list of the Most-Played Holiday Songs in America for 2009.
The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) tracked over 2,500 radio stations nationwide to find the most popular holiday tunes played this Christmas (09) - and Leroy Anderson and Mitchell Parish's festive favourite beat Bobby Helms' hit Jingle Bell Rock by almost 1,000 plays.
Both tunes topped 118,000, while third-placed It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year was the only track played over 100,000 times.
Also making the top five are Irving Berlin's White Christmas and Winter Wonderland.
