California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has asked pal DWAYNE 'THE ROCK' JOHNSON to take over his role as the face of AFTERSCHOOL ALL-STARS.

The TERMINATOR star has been forced to give up the role due to his hectic political schedule in state capital Sacramento, and he couldn't think of anyone better to pass the responsibility to.

Schwarzenegger says, "Everyone admires him. The thing really works when the children look up to you and say, 'I want to be like him.' He's the man."

The Rock will appear in TV ads for the programme, which Arnie formed in 1991 to provide after-school activities for children throughout America.
