Soul legend Aretha Franklin is using her new record label to sign up her favourite artists for a duets album.
The singer and BMG chairman Clive Davis are teaming up to record soul classics with Franklin and a host of big names - on the star's new ARETHA'S RECORDS label.
Aretha says, "Clive and I are working on a duets album and I'm also going to do three or four new cuts for that."
She admits she's also trying to negotiate a deal which will team her up with Outkast.
She says, "I like what I hear now. I'm very happy with it, and I think it's alive and well. I love OutKast. I think they are just wild, I love them. I love the beat."23/08/2004 08:26
