Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders has been talking about the experience of working with Josh Homme on their forthcoming record.
The band recently revealed they had enlisted the Queens Of The Stone Age frontman to produce their third album.
Matt said the band - who are all Sheffield lads - enjoyed recording in the unusual surroundings of Joshua Tree, California.
"We did a few days in the desert at Joshua Tree and it was amazing," Matt told Music Week. "The studio, where it is, is just like a house that's converted a bit into a studio, but the area surrounding it; you've never really seen anything like it."
"Before we went, he [Josh Homme] was kinda saying that special things happen there and we were all a bit like, 'What can he mean?'."
However, he added that the vibe of the place did get to the band, claiming "there were something special about it, definitely."
One of the band's Apollo gigs is to be released as a DVD on November 3rd.
