South London three-piece Arcane Roots are finally set to release their first new material in over a year, the brand new single 'Resolve', which will be made available as a free download on October 30th from the bands website link at the bottom of the page
This single follows the bands signing to their new label, Play It Again Sam, and the reissue of their much acclaimed debut mini album, 'Left Fire', both earlier this year. 'Resolve' will act as an upfront teaser and taster for the bands now completed, Dan Austin produced, unnamed debut album, which will be released in April 2013.
As vocalist and guitarist Andrew Groves states; 'Sometimes you have to put your own happiness first, regardless of how much you care aboutsomeone or want to protect them.' Resolve' is about all of the guilt and conflict of emotions that come with finding your own happiness.
The new album is easily the hardest thing we've ever done, as people and as a band, but we couldn't be prouder of it. We wanted it to be a big step up from the ideas we'd started with Left Fire and it's now grown far beyond anything we ever thought. We absolutely can not wait for you to hear it.'
ARCANE ROOTS also head off on tour this month, as main support to Dry The River across the UK, starting on October 16th at The Junction in Cambridge and finishing up on Nov 1st at Shepherds Bush Empire. The band will also be playing Swn Festival in Cardiff on the 21st of October, along with Django Django, Gallows, Liars, The Invisible and many more.
Live wise in the last year, ARCANEROOTS have been on tour with both Twin Atlantic and AWOL NATION, as well as headline a sold out Kerrang! Awards Show in London (their 3rd sold out London show in a row). They have also headline toured the UK twice and played a host of festivals including Sonisphere, Hit The Deck, Liverpool Sound City, 2000 Trees and Banquets Big Day Out.
