The two A-listers have starred opposite each other in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Captain America: Civil War, with Anthony playing Falcon and Elizabeth as Scarlet Witch. They've grown close off screen too and shared what they get up to in their spare time during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

When quizzed on her love life, Elizabeth joked she's in a "healthy relationship" with her flatmate Eliza, who Anthony is convinced is trying to "get with him".

"Hold up. So, I know it's so hard, Eliza - she's very interested and asks a lot of questions to everyone, so Anthony got confused," Elizabeth grinned. "But Anthony ended it by saying, 'Hey, let me get your number so that I can get your address and send you guys a d**k pic puzzle.'"

As the audience erupted in laughter, Anthony quickly stepped in to defend himself by insisting there was a whole conversation surrounding this bizarre exchange.

"First of all, Eliza brought up how guys should never send d**k pics because girls laugh at them," he explained. "And I said, 'That's funny, I do puzzles.' And she said, 'Well, I've never done a puzzle,' so I said, 'Oh, I'm gonna send y'all a housewarming gift. Let me send y'all a puzzle of an internet d**k pic. That's fair.' And she said, 'Oh my God, yay.'"

Before this humorous revelation came about host James had quizzed the actor on whether he had been a ladies' man back in the day. The 37-year-old admitted he in fact was, and deemed himself a "poet" during college as he was "the only brother that wrote haikus".

"So I would take Lionel Richie songs, Commodores songs, Earth, Wind & Fire songs, Frankie Bentley and May songs... Plagiarism is if I publish them and try to get paid for it, using lyrics - you're just a poet," he laughed when James pointed out taking lyrics doesn't make him a poet.

Anthony then recited Maze's Don't Wanna Loose Your Love in poet form, with Elizabeth joking that he was "too suave".
