SIR Anthony Hopkins is heading into the most creative time of his life as he plans to stage an exhibition of his art and perform his own classical compositions - all in 2006.

The Welsh-born movie star, who swore he wasn't finished yet during a defiant and jubilant Golden Globes Cecil B DeMille Award acceptance speech last week (ends20JAN06), reveals his new wife has given him the impetus to make the most of his varied talents.

As a result, Hopkins has written his first screenplay and is planning his first classical piano concert in Texas and an art exhibition.

The busy 68-year-old says, "I compose music now and I've got a concert down in San Antonio in May. I've got an art exhibition of mine in May, which my wife has inspired me to do."
