Welsh acting great SIR Anthony Hopkins has defended his decision to cast his wife STELLA in forthcoming movie SLIPSTREAM - because the film wouldn't exist without her input. THE SILENCE OF THE LAMBS star writes, directs and stars in the surreal film, and stunned the press when he cast his third wife, who normally works as an antiques dealer. Hopkins says, "She doesn't let me put myself down, because I love beating myself up. "Stella suggested that I write. I got a computer and I just sat down and wrote Slipstream. It unfolded of its own accord and in the most surprising way. "Stella is 18 years younger than me, but she's much more mature."
