The editor-in-chief of American Vogue was spotted at New York's Comedy Cellar on Wednesday (11May16), where funnywoman Amy was also present. An insider reveals to Page Six that the pair was shooting "a life swap situation - like Amy taking Anna’s place, and Anna taking Amy’s place and doing stand-up."
With several assistants in tow, fashion journalist Anna apparently appeared to have a whale of a time with the blonde actress and comedienne and was even treated to a spontaneous routine by Amy halfway through filming.
If Anna is to appear on the programme she'd join a host of fellow fashion stars who have had cameos on hit TV shows, including Jenna Lyons on Girls and Victoria Beckham on Ugly Betty.
Anna has held her position at Vogue since 1988 and has broken various boundaries at the publication over the years. Just recently, supermodel Naomi Campbell revealed how hard Anna worked to make her the first ever black fashion star to cover the magazine in 1989's September issue.
“I didn’t know how hard she had to fight for it. Anna gave me such a great opportunity and I had no idea how much she had to fight for that until after I saw ‘The September Issue’,” Naomi told CNN Style.
Anna isn't always the vision of confidence though, as in April (16) she shared a moment of weakness when she admitted she burst into tears upon getting lost after Kanye West's fashion show. The 66-year-old attended the rapper's Yeezy Season 3 launch in the Big Apple in February, but had troubles trying to make a swift exit like rapper Jay Z did.
"But I slid into the basement of Madison Square Garden and I was lost there for half an hour, asking various people to let me out!" she recalled to talk show host Seth Meyers.
