Anna Nicole Smith has conjured up the ghost of her idol Marilyn Monroe for a new anti-fur advertisement.

The busty blonde has recreated Marilyn's GENTLEMEN PREFER BLONDES look, which Madonna also made famous in the MATERIAL GIRL video for a new PEOPLE FOR THE ETHICAL TREATMENT OF ANIMALS (PETA) campaign.

In agreeing to star in the billboard ads, Smith says, "Diamonds are a girl's best friend, but a fur coat can be her worst enemy."

For the shoot, the actress/model donned a pink satin dress and posed with a group of tuxedoed suitors.

Smith adds, "To kill an animal for a coat is crazy. My late husband gave me two fur coats years ago, but I've never worn them, and I never will.

"I'm a huge animal lover and have three dogs. How can anybody who calls themselves an animal lover wear fur? What they do to

these animals to make fur coats should be illegal."

Smith joins a growing number of celebrities who have recently spoken out against fur - including Gisele Bundchen, Charlize Theron and SARAH JESSICA PARKER.
