Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have paid a visit to the White House to meet President Obama.

The Hollywood stars - who were in Washington for the launch of the brunette beauty's new film 'In the Land of Blood and Honey' - were spotted with the president in the Oval Office.

A White House spokesman said: "President Obama spoke with Ms. Jolie about her work to raise the profile of preventing mass atrocities and combating sexual violence against women."

But at the premiere of her latest movie - which tells the story of a soldier who re-encounters a woman he had a fling with before Bosnia's 1992-1995 war - Angelina admitted she has mixed feelings about Obama's presidency.

The actress - who wrote and directed the film - told the Daily Caller: "I think there are many, many things I think have gone in a wonderful direction and there are a few things I am disappointed in.

"But there are many wonderful things that have moved forward and of course some other things that are very frustrating."
