Angelina Jolie and long-time partner Brad Pitt are finally engaged, according the Hollywood Reporter. A Beverly Hills jeweller by the name of Robert Procop confirmed that he designed a custom engagement ring for Angelina, at the behest of Hollywood star Pitt.
Procop is the former Ceo of Asprey and Garrard, the British jewellery company to the English royal family. His representative confirmed, "Yes, Robert Procop did indeed design an engagement ring for Angelina Jolie, designed in collaboration with Brad Pitt". Angelina was spotted wearing the ring two nights ago, at a private viewing of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's Chinese Galleries. She attended the gathering with Pitt and their son Pax. The engagement is yet to be confirmed by either of the star's representatives. Procop was eventually reached for comment regarding the actual design of the ring, of which he explained, "Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suite Angelina's hand. Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution".
Procop is having a great week publicity-wise. At the recent Avengers premiere in Los Angeles, Robert Downey Jr and his wife Susan told reporters that they were both wearing jewellery designed by Procop.
