Hollywood actress Angelica Huston is terrified of undergoing surgery because she doesn't want to meet the same fate as late comedienne Joan Rivers.

The 81-year-old funnywoman passed away in September (14) a week after she suffered a cardiac arrest during a routine throat procedure.

Huston admits she has always been nervous about operations, but she is now even more scared after hearing about what happened to Rivers.

She tells British newspaper The Guardian, "I'm scared of the knife. I've been under for a few operations, not of the vanity form. It really takes away your taste for voluntary surgery. And I don't want to happen to me what happened to Joan Rivers."

The Witches star goes on to insist she can't understand why so many famous women go under the knife for potentially dangerous operations just to change their looks, and cites Renee Zellweger as an example after the Chicago star hit headlines last month (Oct14) for showing off her drastically different appearance at a red carpet event.

Huston adds, "There's this big thing about Renee Zellweger's new face. I think she hasn't had a full facelift - I think it's just the eyes. If you look at her from the eyes down, it all looks pretty much like her. I think she's had this (her forehead and eyes) lifted. Eyes are really, really dicey, because that's what people look at immediately. If your eyes don't look like you, people get spooked. And now here we are, talking about her stitchery. This wasn't her intention, I'm sure. She just wanted to look refreshed."
