British theatre mogul Andrew Lloyd Webber has been hospitalised in the U.K.

The Phantom of the Opera creator, who has suffered numerous health troubles over the last few months, was admitted to a medical facility on Thursday Due to on-going back problems.

Webber updated his fans on his condition in a post on his page, writing, "In hospital today having my 12th general anaesthetic in 8 months."

However, the star insisted he will be back at work on Friday (16Aug13) to continue preparations for the launch of his latest stage show, Stephen Ward the Musical.

He adds, "Back to work on SWardMusical (sic) tomorrow, even if a bit woozy."

Webber, 65, underwent hip replacement surgery in 2011 and overcame a battle with prostate cancer, but he was forced to pull out of an appearance at the Tony Awards in New York in June (13) due to ongoing unspecified health problems.
