The mother of late singer Amy Winehouse still struggles to cope with her daughter's death almost a year after she passed away.
Janis Winehouse says she still wakes up and cries in the middle of the night after the Back to Black hitmaker was found dead in her London home last July (11).
She tells Britain's Hello magazine, "There's a huge hole in my life. I used to speak to Amy every day. Sometimes I wake up sobbing."
The soul star's mother wears her daughter's jewellery in a bid to feel close to her but is unable to listen to any of her music as she finds it too harrowing.
She adds, "We went to New York in April to launch the Amy Winehouse Foundation (charity) over there. We got on the plane at Heathrow (airport) and one of Amy's songs was playing, and I was inconsolable."
