Amy Winehouse had become "secretly" engaged to her boyfriend Reg Traviss before her tragic death last month. The singer agreed to marry Reg after an emotional heart-to-heart in which Winehouse vowed to "get rid of her demons", according to the UK's Sun newspaper.
A source close to the couple said, "Reg asked Amy and of course she said Yes. She loved him.She wanted nothing more than to be his wife and to start a family with him. She wanted to get rid of her demons so badly". Film director Traviss proposed to Amy after they had dated for around a year, but the singer was found dead in her Camden home on 23rd August 2011. Her close friend Aisleyne Horgan-Wallace told The People newspaper that Amy was keen to become a housewife, saying, "She wanted to have children and stay at home and look after them.She loved Reg and hoped she would spend the rest of her life with him. Reg was great for her, he was a positive in her life". Travis joined Amy's close friends and family for her private funeral in Edgware, London on 26th July 2011.
Record company bosses are reportedly drawing up plans to release Amy Winehouse's third album posthumously. The singer is said to have recorded a considerable amount of new music before her passing.
