Amy Winehouse's publicist has denied reports suggesting bodyguards had to force the troubled singer onstage for her disastrous concert in Belgrade, Serbia at the weekend (18Jun11) - because the Rehab star didn't want to perform.
Fans booed the Brit when she appeared to be intoxicated onstage and she dashed off several times mid-song during her shambolic set, and now the singer for Winehouse's support act Zemlja Gruva reveals what the scene was like backstage.
Ana Zoe Kida tells Britain's The Sun, "Four British bodyguards simply pushed her to step up onstage. She did not want to and was making a scene trying to escape them. It was distressing to see, she obviously needed help."
A spokesperson for Winehouse has denied Kida's account of events, insisting the singer walked onstage voluntarily with a friend.
Winehouse has since cancelled her entire European tour.
A statement from her management reads, "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances... Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."
