Amy Pohler, Will Arnett divorce? Where did this one come from? It seems the couple have decided to call it quits after nine years of marriage, ending the assumption that they had one of the strong celebrity marriages in Hollywood.
A representative for both stars confirmed the separation to US Weekly magazine, with a source adding, "It's very amicable". Amy Poehler and Will Arnett wed on August 29, 2003 and are parents to young sons Archie, 3, and Abel 2. The pair have frequently appeared on-screen together, in both television and film, with their joint credits including 'Arrested Development', 'Blades of Glory', 'Horton Hears a Who!', 'On Broadway', Spring Breakdown' and 'Monsters vs Aliens'. In 2010, Arnett also guest starred in his wife's smash hit comedy 'Parks and Recreation'. It was the first marriage for Poehler, though the second for Arnett, who was previously married for the actress Penelope Ann Miller before they divorced in 1995. It certainly seemed to be love at first sight for Arnett, who told People magazine back in 2009, "The first time I saw her onstage, I said, 'I'm gonna marry that girl", with Poehler saying in 2005, "He makes me feel very safe. You can have a lot of adventures if you have someone by your side".
It's set to be a big year for Poehler, who is nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards, for 'Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series' and 'Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series'. Arnett is also likely to attend the Emmys, having been nominated for 'Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series' for his role as Devon Banks on NBC's '30 Rock'.
