Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan is fighting a tax battle in his native India after claiming a rebate for monies he earns as the anchor on hit TV show Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?

The actor insists he's entitled to a rebate for his work on TV show KAUN BANEGA CROREPATI, claiming a tax loophole allows him to claim back tax on income he earns when he isn't acting.

Bachchan maintains his presenting job on the show does not constitute acting.

Sources close to the actor tell the Times of India that Bachchan's job on the TV show cannot be considered acting because he has no script to work from.

Mumbai's tax officials disagree and are currently investigating the matter.
