Before landing a spot to compete on TV talent show Idol in 2002, the MISS INDEPENDENT singer decided she'd have to make executives working at Sony's Los Angeles offices notice her.
She says, "I stood in front of Sony... I stood right in front of the building with a jam box and a tape player, singing my heart out.
"This guy came out... and he was laughing and he was like, 'I've never in my career seen anybody do this.' And I was like, 'Yeah, I'm going to be here every day until somebody comes out there and at least gives me a chance.'
"I'm just that kind of person. I don't have any other talents, other than talking. It's just what I want to do, and it's what I love."23/05/2005 03:18
