Jacob Lusk was eliminated from 'American Idol' last night (05.05.11).

The Californian singer was booted off the talent show when he failed to gain enough votes from viewers after he performed 'No Air' and 'Love Hurts'.

He was placed in the bottom two with a tearful Lauren Alaina and missed out on becoming one of the four finalists, now comprised of Lauren, James Durbin, Scotty McMcCreery and Haley Reinhart.

Jacob said: "I got to share a little bit with America, and I think America's fallen in love with me," before singing 'A House Is Not A Home' for his last performance on the show.

On Wednesday (04.05.11) James impressed judges Steven Tyler, Randy Jackson and Jennifer Lopez with his emotional rendition of Harry Nilsson's 'Without You'.

Randy told him: "This competition, it's yours to lose."

Meanwhile, Jennifer told MTV that she thinks any of the four finalists could end up being the winner.

The singer said: "I've said this from the beginning: It's anybody's game. And I really still feel that way.

"I think the voting's pretty close, and it could be anybody. It really is In America's hands. I am just a spectator."
