Joan of Arc star Amber Tamblyn is set to join critically acclaimed Fox series 'House' filling a void left by actress Olivia Wilde who is currently taking a break from the show to shoot her upcoming move 'Cowboys and Aliens'. EMMY and Golden Globe winning 'House', the story of the eccentric but brilliant Dr. House played by British actor Hugh Laurie, is about to enter its seventh season this coming September. Fox describe the show as 'an innovative take on the medical drama in which the villain is a medical malady and the hero is an irreverent, controversial doctor who trusts no one, least of all his patients.'
Tamblyn will be playing a student doctor for her time on the show and is no stranger to playing medical roles after a six year stint as Dr. Emily Bowen Quartermaine on the ABC daytime soap opera 'General Hospital' where she was eventually replaced by actress NATALIA LIVINGSTON.
