The reality TV star, 33, competed on the U.S. dancing show with professional partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Val's brother, from September (16) and soon sparked romance rumours with Val after frequently appearing in his social media pictures.

They further fuelled speculation of a relationship when they stepped out hand-in-hand for a dinner date at West Hollywood hotspot Delilah on Friday (09Dec16) with Amber, in a black velvet playsuit and over-the-knee black boots, smiling proudly for nearby photographers.

On Sunday night (11Dec16), Amber seemed to defend her new romance on social media by sharing a provocative meme which reads, "f**k what people say. If someone makes you happy, be with that person. Because at the end of the day, your friends aren't gonna eat your a*s."

In the caption she wrote, "Exactly" followed by an emoji of a face with love heart eyes.

Val also took to Instagram to share a picture of them both, but simply put a rose emoji in the caption.

A source told Us Weekly they were "just friends" in the beginning but "it's recently turned into more and they have been hooking up," while another source close to Val denied the romance.

The Ukranian-American, 30, played it coy when asked about a possible romance with Amber back in October (16), telling ETOnline.com , "I can't control what people think... I live my life and I try to live it, you know, the way I want to live it."

He also said he included his Dancing with the Stars partner, Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez, in a lot of social media pictures too and "for some reason, thankfully, there's no romance rumours there!"

Val and Laurie, 16, were crowned the champions of the most recent season in November (16).
