Sherlock star Amanda Abbington has opened up about her recent money troubles, revealing she is working to slowly pay off her outstanding debt.
The British actress, partner of The Hobbit star Martin Freeman, was declared bankrupt in March (13) after failing to pay a tax bill for $192,000 (£124,000).
Abbington, who has two children with Freeman, now admits she made a "big mistake" and insists she is gradually settling the remaining amount.
She tells Britain's Radio Times, "It was a big mistake and I'm sorting it out. I would never want to go through this again. But I'm paying it off. It was just me not managing my finances properly. It will be annulled in a couple of months. I never wanted to avoid my tax problems."
