Allo Darlin' announce their largest London show to date at the beautiful grade II listed Islington Assembley Hall on 31st October. This will provide a stunning setting for their joyous, effervescent and fun-filled live show. Building upon the success of their recent second album Europe, Allo Darlin' have been quietly building a devoted fanbase in the UK all over the world.
Following their current sold-out tour of intimate London venues for their "compass" shows, the band will decamp to Soup Studios to record their third album, with a single and UK tour planned to coincide with the Islington date.
Based in London, the quartet comprises of Australians Elizabeth Morris and Bill Botting, with Brits Paul Rains and Michael Collins, conjuring up sophisticated pop gems with insightful and intelligent lyrics.
Their self-titled debut was released to universal acclaim with plaudits including being named No. 2 record of the year by online retailer eMusic and a glowing 1,200 word essay by legendary Go-Between Mr. Robert Forster in the Australian critical magazine, The Monthly. Their follow-up 'Europe' earned them Rough Trade's album of the month for May 2012 and an 8/10 in NME and saw them touring for most of the year across Europe and the USA, where the album had rave reviews in Pitchfork and in USA Today.
