The Aerosmith rocker was forced to sit out the supergroup's show in Ohio after collapsing backstage at a concert in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday (10Jul16), but he was there in spirit - and frontman Cooper made sure Perry, who is in stable condition under a doctor's care, was remembered.

Resuming their U.S. tour at the Fraze Pavilion in Kettering on Tuesday, the band, which also includes Johnny Depp and former Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver star Matt Sorum, sent out a shout out to the guitarist after performing a cover of Jimi Hendrix's Manic Depression, with Alice stating, "Get well, Joe!"

Meanwhile, Perry's amps and musical equipment were set up to occupy the spot where he usually stands, and his bandmates all wore buttons with his initials.

Cooper and company also paid tribute to their guitarist with a post on Instagram, which read: "#JoePerry's presence was felt strongly. The boys wore JP badges, set up Joe's equipment and fans held signs and chanted for him throughout the set! We love you Joe!"

The Hollywood Vampires cancelled a scheduled performance on America's The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Monday (11Jul16) after Perry was hospitalised, but he is expected to rejoin the band's tour later this month (Jul16).
