Barb Church is fighting for new noise restrictions and more consideration about the type of acts booked to perform at the Vetter Stone Amphitheater after complaining rapper Nelly's concert there last year (16) was deafening.

She claims the gig was so loud that noise in her home reached 110 decibels.

Mrs. Church recently attacked venue bosses for booking Cooper, stating she fears his show will be too loud - and she has also taken issues with the lyrics to his songs, stating, "I don’t think it’s wise for our community to have to listen to foul language. I don’t think we have to listen to things about suicide."

Cooper has heard all about Barb's concerns and he has responded via Facebook, writing: "Noise of that magnitude would annoy me too", before contesting her 110-decibels report, and joking that Nelly's fans at the show would have had "their spleens ruptured by the loudest show on record" if her claims were true.

He adds, "I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. I'm a ‘Nice Guy’ after all. I guess I could have my snake swim over some earplugs... It's the least I could do."
