Alexandra Burke gig at the UK versus US women's basketball game on Wednesday (July 18th 2012) went on despite Twitter complaints on Tuesday about a 'pulled' shoulder.

The former 'X Factor' winner took centre stage in Manchester's MEN Arena at half time along with a troupe of muscular male backing dancers. According to DigitalSpy, she was only too happy to belt out a few of her hits calling it a 'fantastic honour'. Before her performance she had said: 'I am really looking forward to being part of the evening and performing in front of the Manchester crowd.'

The 23-year-old took to Twitter to further express her feelings about the concert: 'Had so much fun performing 2night! Can't wait2 see the boys play tomorrow!' This is only a day after informing her followers that she had 'pulled' something in her shoulder; 'I'm in so much pain', she said. To ease the worries of those of her fans that were concerned she wouldn't be in any state to perform, she said yesterday, 'Shoulder is getting there..seeing a physio today. 4 those asking , the shows I have this weekend won't be affected by this x'.

Burke's debut album 'Overcome' reached number one in the UK charts and was certified Platinum. She has also had three chart-topping singles including debut 'Hallelujah' and 'Bad Boys'.

Labrinth is set to perform at half-time for the men's b-ball game today.
